HVAC and Controls, made practical.

I'm Armando Alaniz, an HVAC and building automation instructor in Los Angeles. I teach techs what to do, what to check, and how to prove it works.

About me

Instructor · HVAC technician · Building automation

I've spent years working in HVAC and building automation, from rooftop units and air handlers to the controllers, sensors, and networks that run them. Pioneer HVAC Controls is where I share that experience.

My teaching style is hands-on. I skip the long lectures and show you the real thing: land the wire, read the meter, check the point in the software, and fix it when it's wrong. If you can prove it works, you understand it.

I run two classes, Brazing Technician Foundation and HVAC Controls, and post practical videos on YouTube for anyone who wants to get better at the trade.

"I like to simply show you what to do and what to check."
